An Introduction
I’m new to Substack and still finding my way around, despite the little counter that says I’ve been here 2 years. I did make an account back then and here I am, just getting around to finally getting settled in! Which is all to say, I thought I’d write an introductory post.
Let’s get right to it.
1. Who am I?
I write entertaining, uplifting, well-researched, not-too-dark whodunits set in speculative scenarios. So far, I’ve written one series and two standalones:
THE INCIDENT SERIES, time-travel mysteries.
ALL THE WHYS OF DELILAH’S DEMISE, a near-future mystery thriller.
REGARDING DUCKS AND UNIVERSES, a parallel universe whodunit.

2. Housekeeping Stuff
You might have found your way here via my website, a promotion, a link in the back of one of my books, or by happenstance. Welcome!
Except right around a book’s release, the plan is to send out this free newsletter about once a month.
What might you expect to read here? Publishing news, updates on stuff I’m working on, book recommendations, and the occasional photo of my dog. The author newsletter will always be free. If I ever add a paid tier, it would be for something in addition to that (I’m thinking articles on the craft of writing - stay tuned!)
You can read past editions of my newsletter on my blog.
3. Let’s Get to Know Each Other!
I'll start.
Meet Grif. Grif likes long walks around the lake, leaving muddy footprints on carpet, and is a very good boy.
And now for you.
If you feel comfortable, drop a comment below with the name of your favorite book or a picture of your cat or where you came across my books or a pet peeve (one of mine is “fiction novel”), or anything at all you’d like to share!
Thank you for being here.

The comment section has been pretty quiet… Probably not what you expected - or hoped for. Let me be the first one to acknowledge that your post is actually available to the public. Welcome to Substack!
I got hooked by “Ducks”, and I am looking forward to your next release.
I'm a new subscriber. I look forward to seeing your future newsletters.
